About Me

Hi! Welcome to my website! I'm a theoretical physicist (in prep). I try to understand and better explain everything that's going on inside neutron stars using stellar oscillations. My other interests include solving jigsaw puzzles, building Lego sets, soccer and hiking.

Astrobites

Since January 2026, I have been a writer and editor for Astrobites, a literature journal where we summarize new astrophysics research in digestible "bites". You can find articles I have authored here.

R4GE: Researchers for Gender Equity

At GSSI, I am part of R4GE, an initiative started in 2024 to talk about gender equity and create a platform for productive discussions about discrimination, among other things, in academia.

Reading Between the Lines

At IISER, I founded an Ambedkarite reading circle to discuss Dalit-Bahujan-Adivasi (DBA) literature.

Inventa Magazine

I served as the Managing Editor of this intercollegiate science magazine from IISER TVM in 2022. My team published the second edition of the magazine, which explored the future of scientific innovation and of the scientific community as it strives to be more interdisciplinary.

Ether

I was an editor and a designer for IISER's literature and arts magazine, Ether. What happens when scientists are given an arts magazine? They start a conversation about how humanities is somehow lower than life sciences (it absolutely is not!) With Ether, we provided a much-needed escape from science that can sometimes be a stack of failed experiments and code that just won't run.

Exhibit A

Exhibit A was founded in 2019, right after I joined university, and I was lucky enough to be part of this initiative since its inception. I wrote, edited and designed the newsletter editions.

Club of Mathematics, IISER Thiruvananthapuram

In my first year of university, I was a coordinator for the official mathematics club of IISER. I helped compile the by-laws and the foundational groundwork for the club. Although all members of the club was extremely welcoming and receptive of my ideas, being one of the only two girls in the coordinators group made me realise how skewed (and screwed) the gender parity was in math. (I would go on to realise that this was the case for most of academia.)
